Streaming replaced a measurable box office with numbers rights holders are asked to accept. Spotlight is built the other way round — every ticketed view produces an auditable admission, and every title earns from the revenue it actually generated.
An ad-supported catalogue, free to watch with a no-cost membership, alongside an ad-free subscription tier.
Ticketed releases with on-device presence metering. A view is recorded as a verified admission rather than a self-reported play.
Channels, weekly contests, open auditions and paid participation in real productions. Ad-free by design.
Since the late 2000s the middle of the market has thinned. Mid-budget and specialty films lost theatrical viability, and streaming absorbed the category while paying flat fees against performance data the rights holder cannot verify. That removed the measurable performance those films were financed against.
Verified admissions restore a number that can be underwritten, checked and argued with. Rights holders receive per-title statements showing admissions, attributed revenue and their contracted share — auditable line by line, on both the advertising and subscription tiers.
Spotlight is in development, launching in Europe and the United States. We welcome licensing, distribution and partnership enquiries.
